Every single day children from toddlers to probably about 11 or 12 play in that water, make up games, laugh, splash, and just run back-and-forth willy-nilly until their parents are tired out. These kids are not looking at iPads or iPhones, not bound by technology… yet. The designer of the promenade built a small grassy hill and the kids love that little hill. They climb up and down and their king of the mountain or somersault champions. I love this book and the story about Ginger and how she finally gets her wish and meets Santa. I highly recommend the wonderful book for a Halloween gift and Christmas stocking stuffer. I’m very sure everyone will enjoy this book. Beautifully written and illustrated. I would love to see this book be made into a movie. This book does not disappoint. Enjoy! The question the book poses is straightforward: Ginger (a witch) believes in Santa, but does Santa believe in witches? The journey to the answer will take you along a magical path complete with a pumpkin-adorned Christmas tree and a Christmas broom! I think the combination of beautiful illustrations and engaging storytelling have her hooked. We love Ginger, and can all relate to wanting to be seen. Ginger is an adorable witch with a wonderful heart and spirit. This is a must read for all children who love Halloween and Christmas.
